NYC Elite Personal Trainer

I spent my childhood in Abilene, Texas, where as a chubby brown Filipino kid, I was the object of bullying. To build my self-esteem, my parents enrolled me in Tae Kwon Do and I went on to become a first-degree Black Belt, under Korean Master Lim, at age 12. Just as I gained some self-confidence, my family moved to Virginia Beach where I became the object of ridicule once again. This time around, I believed them. I hid my body and even wore t-shirts in swimming pools because I felt ashamed of my weight, size, and color. The shame accompanied many unhealthy habits around food, sleep, and exercise that further harmed my sense of self.
In college, as I pursued my passion for performance, my voice teacher, Dr. Choi, helped me realize that I needed mind and body discipline to “make it” as a singer and actor. That sparked my love of fitness and nutrition. After moving to NYC to pursue a career in performance, I met celebrity trainers Rich Barretta and Stu Rosenstein who mentored me to become an elite private trainer. With my background in martial arts and dance, I earned a certification from the American Academy of Personal Training (AAPT) and specialized as “the Wedding Trainer,” empowering women to look and feel their best for their special day. I also earned a pre and post natal training certification to guide women through pregnancy and beyond.
In my 12+ years of personal training, I have worked with hundreds of people of all shapes and sizes. I specialize in training women not only to achieve physical results, but to integrate fitness in their lifestyle by balancing exercise with right nutrition, rest, and mindset. Many of my clients have become an extended part of my family, so much so that many of their partners and spouses also train with me! Together we don't just achieve results, we build a lifestyle!
